Question: How do I get to my email
I have an email account but don't know how to access it.
Solution:
The easiest way to get to your email is by going to WebMail, you can use this link Feel free to bookmark this site. https://securemail.nventure.com/
An alternate method is to use an email client to download all of your messages to a computer. This will normally remove all of your messages from our servers and store them on your computer.
For instructions on how to setup an email client please go here, http://www.nventure.com/supportEMAIL.asp
Question: How do I release a "Phishing" message from quarantine
How can I release a message listed as phishing from quarantine?
Solution:
Currently the only way to have a message classified as phishing from quarantine is to contact us. We hope to give our customers a better way to manage this in the near future, but in the mean time this is the only option. You can submit a request online through our HelpDesk, or you can give us a call. * Please note: messages are only available in quarantine for 5 days from the time they were received. After 5 days they are automatically removed from our system and are NOT recoverable.
Question: How do I upload my website files to your servers?
How do I upload my website files to your server so I can see them on my website?
Solution:
If you haven't already had your site setup please sumbit a request to do so now using our HelpDeskIf you've already had us setup your website, or personal webspace you'll need an FTP client. We recommend using FileZilla, a free, open source ftp client. The most current version is available for download from SourceForgeOnce you've installed FileZilla you need to setup a connection to our server. To do that open FileZilla and go to the File menu then click on Site Manager and click new site and give it a name. Then fill in the following information. Host: ftp.nventure.com Port: 21 ServerType: FTP - File Transfer Protocol LogonType: Normal Then enter the user name and password assigned to you. When you're ready, click Connect. That's it.

Why are my outgoing email is being blocked by Net Venture spam filter?

Question: Warning: Approaching message quota limit
I received this email notice but am not sure what to do about it.
*****Warning*****
You currently have a total of XXXX messages which are occupying XXXXX Kbytes.
Your message quota limit is 51200 Kbytes.
New messages which would cause your quota to be significantly exceeded will be rejected. If your total mailbox size exceeds the quota then ALL new messages will be rejected.
Solution:
Your mailbox on our server is full, or almost full. This is a warning message to let you know you need to clean out some messages to prevent new messages from being rejected.
This is typically caused by one of 2 things.
1. Your email client, i.e., Outlook is setup to leave a copy of your messages on our server. Try disabling this feature, or change the number of days that messages are kept on the server. You can find more information on how to do this here, look for the Advanced Email configuration section at the bottom, then "Leave a copy of message" on the server.
2. If you only use WebMail you may be storing too many messages. Try cleaning out any old, or large messages, including your Sent Items folder.
You can view the amount of space currently being used by logging into webmail and looking at the Quota graph in the upper left corner.
Question: Security Certificate could not be verified
When checking your email you recieve an error message similar to this one:
The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value. Do you want to continue using this server?
Solution:
The security certificate Net Venture uses is associated to our domain name "nventure.com".
When you use the SSL option in your email program and the server names to not match mail.nventure.com, or smtp.nventure.com you will receive this error message.
To fix it you must change the incoming and outgoing mail server names. Please follow the instructions under "Important Security settings" on our support pages to resolve this issue.
Question: Outgoing emails are stuck in my outbox
I use Click Network to get online and my email is with another provider. I can't send out messages, is someone blocking them?
Solution:
Effective January 9, 2008.
For customers using an e-mail account that is not hosted by Net Venture you will either need to change your outgoing e-mail server to smtp.nventure.com (Please see our website at) http://www.nventure.com/supportEMAIL.asp for instructions Or contact your e-mail hosting provider to find out if they have an alternate SMTP submission port to use.
Common alternate SMTP submission ports are 465 or 587. This will be determined by your email provider, please contact them for more information.

Symantec Tells Users: Disable Protection Before XP SP3 Upgrade
http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9088598&source=NLT_AM&nlid=1
Reese Anschultz, Sr. SQA Manager with Symantec said users of Norton Internet Security, Norton 360 and Norton AV should switch off the "SymProtect" feature before trying to install XP SP3.
"After a lot of testing, we've reproduced a number of different cases where applying the XP SP3 upgrade adds additional registry keys within already-existing Symantec registry keys," said Anschultz. "We have determined that the SymProtect feature is involved, though this issue is not exclusive to Symantec customers. To help prevent this issue from occurring, you should disable SymProtect prior to installing the Windows XP SP3 upgrade."
