The same type of batteries used to power the Apollo 15 Lunar Rover on the moon this week pushed an earthbound vehicle to a new speed record Wednesday at Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah.
The Silver Eagle, driven by Jack Reed of Huntington Beach, sped to a record of 135.78 mph for electric cars. The car was powered by 120 silver-zinc fuel cells.

Note: The car did not use "fuel cells"; the correct term is "battery cell",
and 180 cells were used, not 120.
