Silver Eagle slowing with Simpson cross-form parachute deployed after a record run. Initial deceleration was achieved with the parachute. When slowed to about 50 mph, the rear axle mounted hydraulic disk brake was applied to bring the car to a complete stop. The open parachute container is visible at the tail of body. Small trailing object is the spring deployed drogue chute that extracts and deploys the main parachute from the canvas container.
