Set up Newsgroups (Usenet) in Outlook Express 5 or 6
|

Please note: If you have not requested to have a news group user name and password setup by one of our support personnel you will need to do that before your news account will work.
|

You are allowed one connection to the news server at a time.

1. Open up Outlook Express.
|
|
2. Go to the Tools menu, and then click on Accounts.
|
|
|
3. Click on the Add button, and then click on News.
|
|
|
4. The Internet Connection wizard for News will come up. Put in your name how you want people to see your name when you post messages. Click Next.
|
|
|
5. Next, put your email address in. Click Next.
|
|
|
6. Next, it will ask for your news server. Type news.nventure.com. After that, check My News Server Requires Me to Log On. Click Next.
|
|
|
7. Your Account Name is the user name you will login to our system with and is required to be in the following format: newsusername@net-venture.com. Enter your user information including password and click Next.

8. Next it will say you have finished setting up your settings. Click on Finish.
|
|
|
9. The Internet Accounts box will come back up. Click Close.
|
|
10. You are all done configuring Outlook Express for Net-Venture News Groups. If you have any questions or problems please feel free to give us a call.
